The McDonnell Douglas DC-9 is a twin-engine jet airliner manufactured by McDonnel Douglas. It was first produced in 1965 until 1982. The DC-9 was mainly designed for short to medium routes or smaller airports with shorter runways. Several different series of it were produced.
