No Damage History
For five years, starting in 1993, this aircraft was given a ground up restoration. The complete airframe structure was inspected, repaired and treated as required. All system components, fuel, hydraulic, oil, etc, were overhauled. The aircraft was completely rewired using state-of- the-art wire and electrical components. All hydraulic, fuel and instrument lines and fittings were replaced with stainless steel. The landing gear was completely overhauled including all actuators, valves, struts, Airframe, etc. The wheels and brakes were updated to Cleveland and Frakes latest models. The cockpit was completely updated. The co-pilot's instrument panel was added and new avionics package was installed. A new interior was designed and installed including custom-built couches, plus modified Lockheed Jetstar seats and tables. Tinted lexan windows were made and installed in the cockpit and cabin. The cabin was extensively soundproofed. The original heater system was updated and installed along with an air conditioning system. The engines were inspected, cleaned and painted. All cylinders were replaced with new. The blades were clear anodized for additional protection. The aircraft was painted in March and April 1998 and returned to New Knoxville were the interior was installed and all systems given final inspection and put into service. After ext. was painted it was returned to Knoxville were the interior was installed and all symstems given final inspection and put into service.
