Piper Cheyenne aircraft for sale

The turboprop aircraft Piper PA-42 Cheyenne is manufactured by Piper Aircraft and a development of the PA-31T Cheyenne I and II.

The prototyp first flew in 1969 and was redesigned and improved continuously. E.g. due to difficulties regarding longitudinal stability, the Cheyenne and later Cheyenne II was equipped with a Stability Augmentation System (SAS).
The Piper Cheyenne III was first produced in 1979, longer than the Piper Cheyenne II and equipped with more powerful engines. Furthermore, it introduced a T-tail which was the most evident external difference.

The standard Cheyenne III is equipped with Q-tip propellers and a full deicing equipment. Six to nine passengers could be transported.
